I made this playlist to give back to Twitter. A community of the most helpful people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. I’ve learned to be a better blogger, video maven and more all from asking questions and getting Tweets back in reply.

I know we all watch for the Twitter Newbies questions. I know we all are willing to help. I see it in the Twitter Feed every time I am there.

We all work very hard to help the Newbie and not overwhelm them.
Twitter takes some practice at first we will all admit. On that note I decided to create the new Hashtag #TWUTES.

#TWUTES are short fast and right to the point Twitter Tutorials for Newbies we can all share with them.

Your Life Your Terms Your Destiny

There was a time when I worked for someone else. This paid well but still someone else made most of the profit. Then I realized one day, I was truly and entrepreneur.

I didn’t give in easily, I played a big game and I lived life like the only that mattered was the ultimate goal. To have Your Life on Your Terms for Your Destiny. BOOM all the walls came down!

Since then everything has changed and I want this to happen for you as well. Don’t ever give up on what you want, don’t ever stop seeking it. It is seeking you also!

Remember that your future self, that person you see yourself as when you dream, is calling out to you to become YOU.

Go for it!

Just wanted to share that personal moment with you because I have been thinking about all YOU fabulous people I know who are plugging away at wonderful dreams!

1. How many hours per week do spend in actual Creation? (Not socializing)

2. Do not list URLS~ primary creation spots? Squidoo, WordPress, etc WHERE do you focus?

3. Where does VIDEO fall into your presence?

4. Ok Socializing (and be honest :0) How much time are you Socializing on line and where ~ I am Yes, expecting Twitter to pop up here (a lot). haha

The Right Side of Twitter

TweetMyStyle is the newest partner here for SocialPOPstars.

One thing that TweetMyStyle is taking into consideration on Backgrounds is what I said here months ago about Backgrounds as a whole…

Almost every background in Twitter is Working with the LEFT side of your Twitter profile.  Almost everyone has Tons of Empty Space on the RIGHT side where theres “nothing”.

Now I realize that many of you use FREE background creators like twitbacks (etc) and thats COOL. However~ look at all that big open billboard that you aren’t utilizing over on the right.

Human nature is to go to the right. We write left to right. Right is even keyed into our DNA now with Right from Wrong. Right is always the favorite (metaphorically speaking). It’s a proven fact and OPT IN box on the Right side, Upper Eye level does better.

I use the space on the Right to get peoples attention for promotions, quotes, those little extra’s that just don’t fit ALL on the left side.

Don’t forget your Right side. Use that space and get more people where you want them to go.

Twitter ID Gets You Followers

You know all those links you are clicking on in Twitter?

All those blogs and videos that you are reading and watching?

Put all that Reading and Viewing to work for you!

Try this on for size. Over the last few days I’ve been testing and have some nice results.

1. Make sure you are signed in to your You Tube channel when you are in Twitter. This way when you go to a link that is a video you are ready and able to rate and comment the video. Don’t miss the opportunity.

2. Any blogs, magazines, lenses or hubs that you link to from Twitter get ready to leave a comment.

Sign that comment with your Twitter ID example @johnilouise which is mine.

Many of these places don’t like for you to put your website in the comment and consider it spam. Therefore the owner or author doesn’t approve it because it lowers their page ranking to approve a “Spammish” comment.

Get around that by using your Twitter id. Especially in You Tube!

As fast as Twitter is growing there aren’t many people who don’t know what that @yourname means. I have added 50 Quality new followers in 3 dayswho found me on other peoples blogs or videos! (Hi, hows that?) I just started testing but decided since they actually TOLD ME how they found me that was pretty darn good! Many of us are now collaborating as bloggers and videographers! (Birds of a feather FLOCK together!)

When I Google search my name johnilouise or @johnilouise I’m popping up in 577 spots! Good! (This did get me thinking about quality so I’m probably going to be doing some more DM’s) just to make sure the best of the best is out there!

Use your Twitter id when you comment on a post! You will get more people, or Tweeple, following you from across the web who may not have known that you were there.

Especially post quality comments on the highest ranking Links in Twitterfor the day! The creator will know by your comment that you came from Twitter which helps their tracking.

Self Promotion in motion but there’s a bonus…

By commenting, rating, favorite, whatever the options are, do them all, you push that page/video UP the ranks and it takes your comment/advertisement with it. You want to Push up others because it helps you too. Ahh good Karma!

Going Viral with Social Media

Going Viral with Social Media

Growing into one of the socialPOPstars  isn’t hard with today’s technology making it FUN and User Friendly for you to get Going Viral with Social Media.

Viral means that you create content others want to share. Same concept as the game Pass It On but thanks to Links and Embed Codes nothing gets jumbled or lost in translation.

To really ramp up your Viral Appeal you have to build relationships.

If you create content that someone likes you should start building the relationship at that starting point. Lets say you post a link to your photography blog full of flowers to Twitter. The link also contains a video slide show when they get to that page. There are two viral options in this scenario.

1. The link to the blog itself.

2. The video on the blog.

You then see that one of your Twitter Followers ReTweeted (re-posted) that link. Also, you receive a message from that person that they liked the collection of Bearded Iris’ in the video presentation spotlighting this part of your photography.

You now have a Viral Resource, an open door to build a relationship.

1. They like flowers.

2. They shared your link.

3. They like photography.

They have common interests with you. Chat with them!  Do they take photo’s of their gorgeous garden? Do they post them anywhere on line? Have they thought about doing it? You get the idea, get to know more about them.

Now the next time you update that photo blog make sure that follower @janedoe gets it in a Tweet so she can ReTweet it. Ta Da!

Here are some quick socialable tips for Going Viral with Social Media

What 3 hobbies do you love the most? Now create content about them and get that information out there via Twitter, You Tube or Face Book. Pick the social media platform you like and get the most response from.

What’s your ultimate travel destination? Repeat the steps above.

What are your current 2 favorite albums? Repeat and so on.

See none of this has anything to do with Business and yet everything to do with it! Business is social it always has been. You do Business with people that you trust, like and whom you took the time to get to know.

Find ways to Open doors to get to know people. CREATE THE OPPORTUNITY.

Make a list, via a doc or Group Feature on one of your applications. When you post content related to that group that you know they will probably like and share, make sure they get it!

Before you know it you will have an entourage, organized and socialized into manageable groups of people You Really Do Have Things In Common With that will help you get Going Viral with Social Media.

You Tube goes to Twitter

You Tube had added a Twitter KEY to the share section of our videos!

Yay! Its about time!

So far it doesn’t shorten the URL but that is in the works and if you are just tweeting the video the URL is plenty short for Twitter! This feature will be a real GEM and a big hit with You Tube and Twitter fans!

By utilizing the feature you will be able to Tweet your video as soon as its up which is a powerful social mediatool. These types of innovations are fueling the socialPOPstars of today!

Imagine loading a video, tweeting it and within hours having a few hundred or a few thousand views.

Learning how to use the technology like Twitter and You Tube aren’t hard and can bring so much to you in your Professional or Personal brands.
